2012 Paralympics
This year’s Paralympics in London were a great success for Turkish athletes. The Turkish athletes showed their best performance that they could ever muster at the Paralympics.
With 1 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze medals Turkish athletes got a total of ten medals; A success that could not be achieved by their able-bodied colleagues in early August.
Particularly in weightlifting the athletes were very successful in 2012. The weightlifter Nazmiye Muslu even achieved a new world record.
China is with a total of 23 meals on the 1st place of the medal count. On place 2 is Russia followed by the UK on 3rd place. Germany achieved place 8.
