The Turkish lira currency gets its own character
Similar to the EUR or the dollar the Turkish lira gets now its own currency symbol. The Turkish Central Bank organized a contest in which the best idea would be chosen.
Among millions of letters with lots of great ideas, the jury had to make a decision. The “winner” symbol was presented by Prime Minister Erdogan and the Turkish Central Bank in a public press conference.
